I was late for gym class, and when I arrived at the gym my classmates were already shooting hoops and preparing for a friendly game of basketball. And since I was eager to play as well, and when our gym instructor was not around, I skipped doing our regular warm-ups and stretching. Not sooner has the game started, when I experienced the most excruciating pain I ever felt.
After seeing the school doctor, I was said to have a Torn Calf Muscle and a Pulled Groin. So, I had to tell the doctor and my gym instructor that I skipped the warm-ups and stretching. The doctor, asked to rest and elevate my leg, and instructed me to put an ice bag every three minutes, while she called my mom. It took me several days before my Torn Calf Muscle has completely recovered, and I could attend gym class, and I never ever again, skipped my warm-up and stretching.
