My uncle works at a construction company, and every now and then, customary check up of the various equipment are being done, seeing if every part and component is functioning at its best.  Construction equipments should always be checked before and after use, so as to assure performance and, of course, safety.

One important component that is being checked is the custom flywheel, which is a regulator consisting of a heavy wheel that stores kinetic energy for a smooth operation of an engine.  Another important component or part is the groove pulley, one of the simple machines, which is a wheel with a grooved rim that will lift an object when a rope or chain is pulled.  When it comes to contract machining needs of the company, it is important that the machined components have appropriate equipment specifications, cost-effective automation, scrap minimization, through proper process control, and optimization of tolling set-ups.  Therefore, when machined components are in need of replacing, my uncle makes sure that only the best replacements are selected and used.
