I remember being a little kid and listening to Peter Rabbit stories that my mom reads before bedtime. I really love the adventures he and his friends have. Bedtime is not the same without Peter Rabbit stories. Aside from Peter Rabbit, I also liked watching Betty Boop cartoons, and her funny adventures. But as time went by, I outgrew my Peter Rabbit bedtime stories and Betty Boop cartoons.
However, my fascination to Peter Rabbit and Betty Boop did not end together with my childhood, though I no longer watch Betty Boop cartoons nor read Peter Rabbit, I have a wide collection of Beatrix Potter figurines, I have at least one figurine of her characters in Peter Rabbit stories. Since the figurines were very fragile, I had to put them behind glass shelves. I also have Betty Boop collectables like bags, glasses, figurines and shirts. I still sometimes use the bags and shirts when going to the mall or when I feel like it. Now that I have my own kids, I read to them Peter Rabbit stories and sometimes use my Beatrix Potter figurines to portray the characters better, and my daughter is the one using my Betty Boop collectables of bags and other apparel. It’s fun keeping in touch with childhood once in a while.
