Improving Memory

I was having problems with my computer that I purchased five years ago.  As compared to the latest models of computers, mine was generally very slow in processing information.  There were even times that I wanted to throw it outside my bedroom window.  However, while in the office I was complaining to a co-worker about how slow my computer at home was, when he suggested that I change its ram into a DDR2 memory.  I said the what? She laughed and suggested that I should let a professional take a look at my computer.

One I got home, I contacted a computer technician regarding my computer’s problem.  He said that I should really upgrade its ram into s DDR2 memory.  He said that having an upgrade will improve my system’s performance, by employing a 1/0 buffer between the memory and the data bus so that the data bus can be run at twice the speed. However, if I really want the best upgrade, I should get a 2GB DDR2 memory; this will allow browsing, working, photo and multimedia applications to process faster.  Since I was after faster browsing time, I upgraded my ram into a 2GB DDR2 memory.
