Back when I was a freshman in high school, I wasn’t popular or cool. Boys hardly notice me at all. I observed that boys are more into girls that make the time and effort to look great, like putting on make-up and wearing fashionable clothes. Which was exactly the opposite of me, I liked wearing baggy jeans, t-shirts and sneakers, and I was more into being practical and comfortable. However, all of that changed when my cousin stayed with us for a week and gave me the make-over I needed.
First in our agenda, was shopping for a new set of wardrobe. I wasn’t quite excited about that make-over at first, but with my parents giving me their credit card, who could resist. At the mall we went to Abercrombie and Fitch and bought some new shirts that were a little on the flirtatious and energetic side, but not too daring. Afterwards, we went to True Religion jeans and bought some jeans, that were not too loose but not too tight either, the fitting was just right to emphasize the little curves I had. Aside from the jeans, we bought a denim jacket that will keep me warm in cold weather but stylish as well. And for the last store, we went to Gucci, and when I saw the prices I almost wanted to walk right out, but my cousin said that every girl should have at least one Gucci shoes in their wardrobe. After a while I found the pair of Gucci shoes I liked, something I could wear even at school. The first day of school after my make-over was a success, boys were paying more attention to me unlike before. And for the first time in my high school life, I felt like a cool chick.
